Printmaking
I had a lot of fun on this one, working with the linoleum and carving out my print was really great! It turned out better than I expected and I'm fairly proud of the results.

Photoshop
This was my first time playing around in photoshop, and I'm really impressed with how everything turned out. I've always preferred digital art over paintings and sketches and the like, and I had a fun time doing this! I'm proud of the frog tongue and I think it would be really cool if I got to play around in photoshop again!

Stencil Project
I learned how to make stencils from this project, because it was something I'd never done before. I also learned how to layer like this and get the different shapes in different colors like so. I liked this project, and I'm fairly proud of my work on this, and it's getting entered into an art show! :D

Shoe Contour
I'm not proud of this. I was originally going to do my combat boot, but I just couldn't get the proportions right on it, and I switched to one of my heels. This is the result. :(

iPad Value Study
This week, we had to shade forms on our iPads. I think that I was able to improve on my shading with the sphere and cube on this, because I've been drawing on my iPad for a while now and I'm pretty used to it. I'm fairly proud of how well I shaded the cone on this, but the smudge brush on the app is really annoying, and by far not the best way to get things done, though it is effective.

Cartoon Skeleton
For my cartoon skeleton, I decided to use Ariel as my character. The reference picture I used was a more realistic drawing I found on DeviantArt. I had a fun time trying this out, and I liked drawing a mermaid because continuing vertebrae instead of creating legs was much easier. The easiest parts were the ribs and shoulder blades. I struggled in doing the thin sort of cartilage in the tail and the bones in the hand, because the picture was so small and detail is difficult at that scale. Overall, I had fun doing this and I felt it was a good introduction to the class. I hope I was able to portray Ariel well!
